About Independent Candidate Network

Creating A House of Representatives That Actually Represents

The aim of the Independent Candidate Network is to elect enough Independent, nonpartisan and unaffiliated candidates from across the country and across a broad range of the political spectrum to the House of Representatives in 2026 to deny both Republicans and Democrats a majority.

When we do this, we will:

  • Return the House to regular order to do the work of the people
  • Return debate and decorum to the House
  • Introduce single subject bills
  • End the use of continuing resolutions and omnibus bills
  • Ban stock trading by members of the House
  • Apply term limits to members of the House

In 2028, we will build on our gains in the House and expand our efforts to the Senate to deny both traditional parties a majority there. In 2030, we will bring the vision national by going local so that from the school board, to the city council, to the state legislature to the federal legislature, that no single party has a majority on any legislative body in the country.
